Un peu d’histoire en ce dernier jour d’octobre…
An ancient pagan festival was celebrated on November 1st, the date later chosen by Pope Gregory IV to celebrate All Saints’ Day. Of Irish/Scottish origin, the feast of All Hallows’ Eve (+/-, the translation of Halloween) was exported to the USA with the arrival of immigrants. It was there that the festival took off, as we know it today. Now, even in France, many homes are decorated with the traditional skeletons and pumpkins, and candy is available for the traditional “trick or treat”… all this to say that Coca Cola couldn’t miss this opportunity to make a few ads and special series, of which here are a few examples.
