2025 : year of the Snake
Chinese astrology corresponds to a twelve-year cycle, with each year represented by an animal and an element. In order, the twelve Chinese signs are: rat, buffalo, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, pig.
In China, it is believed that there is a relationship between man and the 12 zodiacal animals. People born in the year of a particular animal will therefore have the characteristics of that animal. According to the Chinese zodiac sign, in addition to character, one’s zodiac animal also affects one’s fortune.
If we refer to the history of the Chinese zodiac, the Jade Emperor, the sovereign of divinities, wished to select 12 animals for the sole purpose of forming his personal guard. To this end, he decided to organize a race in which the final line would consist of crossing the Celestial Gate, while the rank of the animals would be determined by their order of arrival. The snake came 6th.
As with all astrology, certain tendencies are given for people of this sign: of a secretive and cautious nature, Snakes possess a certain inclination to act according to their own judgment. Refusing to fail, their stubbornness enables them to reach the highest summits.
Snakes symbolize wisdom. They are intelligent and cultured, and although they have a real talent for oratory, they are not very talkative. Snakes are usually perceived as great thinkers or great sages.
